I am a lesson columnist for Bassics Magazine. I pen a column called "Bass Alone" which is a primer on the Art of Solo Bass. Included with every issue is an enhanced CD, featuring the music of the artists profiled and, more importantly, a video demonstration of my lesson in the magazine. I give private lessons, perform clinics and masterclasses perform clinics for Michael Tobias Designs (MTD Basses), Euphonic Audio (EA) and Thomastik-Infeld Strings, and finally teach one week every summer at the National Summer Guitar Workshop in CT. I give private lessons at Parkway Music in Clifton Park, NY on Tuesday nights and at my home on most Mondays and Fridays. Private lessons are available on a weekly basis or as a "one-off." If you live within a few hour drive of New York's Capital District, you are welcome to come out and spend a few hours. If you have any interest, please feel free to email me. Rates are less expensive than you might think. I will also travel to you but, of course, you would need to pay travel time. Check out the Calendar for a clinic in your area. If you would like to set up a clinic or masterclass in your area, please contact me, your local MTD, EA or Thomastik-Infeld dealer. With much thanks to the editor, Jim Hyatt I am making a few of these articles available to you. Each lesson has a Real Audio file of the example as well as a graphic file of the notation, if applicable. Check back as I will be adding some more lessons in the near future.
